National Gallery in Washington DC marks question on 17th Century Girl with Flute painting by artist Vermeer

Girl with a Flute Shows a small portrait holding a musical instrument that might have been made by his pupil or a family member who knew his art style, the National Gallery said.

Johannes Vermeer was born in Delft in 1632 and died cause of a financial loan in 1675

By examining the portrait 'Girl with a Flute' using fluorescence imaging technique conservators found brush style is not so fine as on other art of Vermeer.
